Rug Cleaning in Blossomwood

Collection and delivery in Blossomwood are included. We take the rug back to the workshop, wash it properly, and bring it home.

The Houses

What Blossomwood is built from

1950s ranch houses on wooded lots at the foot of the mountain, generally single-storey with floored attic space above.

Established families and second-generation owners, many with rugs rotated out of use and stored rather than sold.

What We Find Here

The Blossomwood problem

Unconditioned attics destroy stored rugs. An attic here runs past 130°F in July with no air movement, and that is close to ideal breeding conditions for clothes moths — it is the larvae that eat wool, and they prefer dark, still, undisturbed material. A rug rolled and put up there in autumn can come down in spring with the pile grazed to the foundation in patches, worst where it was pressed against the roll. Moth damage is repairable by reweaving, but it is priced by the square inch.

If that sounds like your rug, send the form and describe what you are seeing. We will tell you whether it needs the full treatment or not.
