The Harvest problem
Active construction means clay dust everywhere for years. Graded lots with thin turf shed fine red particulate that travels on wind and tyres, and it arrives dry rather than muddy, which is worse for a rug — dry clay works straight down into the pile instead of drying on the surface where a vacuum can reach it. New rugs in new houses here can look noticeably dull within a single season, and owners generally blame the rug rather than the street.
